Hello all,
We continue our bi-weekly reading group this week on Friday, August 10 at 2PM. We will be reading the paper "Mind the theoretical gap: interpreting, using, and developing behavioral theory in HCI research" (CHI 2013) by Erick Hekler et. al.
This work introduces a body of research in behavioral theory that is often neglected by HCI researchers, despite the production of a large body of work aimed at supporting behavior change. The authors hope to correct common misuses of theory and help HCI researchers provide useful contributions to the behavioral sciences.

Zhicong will "champion" the paper by reading it thoroughly and leading the discussion, highlighting why he thinks the work is important.
The meeting will take place at Crimson Teas at 415 Spadina Ave. Snacks and drinks will be provided!
Best, Jacob
