Hi all,
if any of you (that is, DGP students) will be attending CHI 2017 -- I have
a "nomination ticket" for one student volunteer slot in the early SV
lottery. This early lottery is reserved for nominations made by PC members
and chairs, and it has a much higher chance of success than the open
lottery for SV.
If any of you wants the nomination please let me know this week. The
nomination closes on Tuesday the 20th. You need to be already registered at
http://chisv.org/
Cheers,
Cosmin

Hi all,
Dr. Carpendale from the University of Calgary
<http://pages.cpsc.ucalgary.ca/~sheelagh/wiki/pmwiki.php> will be joining
us for the TUX Series on January 10th and visit the lab on the 11th . And we
will host her with demos from 10:30am to 4:00pm. Dr. Carpendale is an artist
and computer scientist working in the field of information visualization and
HCI. It will be a wonderful opportunity to show your excellent work.
Please let me know by tomorrow night whether you want to give a demo and
your preferred time. The demo slot is usually 15 ~ 20 minutes, but it
depends on how many demos we have at the end.
Cheers,
Haijun
Hi everyone,
A reminder that we will have a HCI meeting tomorrow (Dec 6) at 12:30.
Peter will be leading a brainstorming session.
See you all there!
Regards,
Laura
Hi everyone,
We are still missing a volunteer for our upcoming HCI meeting next Tuesday. If you have something to talk to the group about, something to demo, or would like to get ideas for your project, please don’t be shy!
Thanks,
Laura
