Hi everyone,
We will have an HCI group meeting today at 12:30pm.
Candice Lin is going to brainstorm her group's project idea for HCI
class and gain valuable feedback from the group. Candice Lin
joined DGP lab last semester and pursues her masters degree at
the moment. Lunch will be provided as usual. Looking forward to seeing you
soon.
The abstract of her presentation is as the
following:
An increasing number of
smartphones have been equipped with larger memory and faster processor,
and thus the smartphone users are able to multitask with different apps in
their daily life. Due to the limited real estate of screen sizes on most
mobile devices, the user need to explicitly switch between the apps,
instead of arranging all of them on the single display. As a result, there
is a need for a convenient and efficient application switching method. In
this project, we are planning to design a novel application switching
method, and compare its performance with existing application switching
methods in the Android and iOS
system.
Best,
Mingming
