Hello guys,
Notice that you're getting the email from another person now! Yay!!! Anyways, our meeting starts tomorrow Tuesday (February 16th) in the DGP lab (BA 5166). Lunch will be provided. And since its reading week and less people will be coming... a better lunch will be provided. Hopefully.
We have two presenters for this week:
*Alan Wu* will be presenting his progress with his thesis! His abstract:
Seniors are faced with the risk of falling. Identifying such risk is crucial for implementing appropriate intervention to prevent future falls. In this project, we are using a custom wearable sensor device to assess the risk of falling and provide activity data for elderly user and caregivers. We will conduct field test on such device to reveal its effectiveness, acceptability, and whether seniors and caregivers regard such implement helpful in preventing falls.
*Nicole Sultanum *will also be presenting preliminary findings. She also says "You're asking for too much" when I asked her for an abstract... so you get the title of her presentation instead:
*Identifying opportunities to support clinical work:A brief field study, and (very) preliminary research directions *
Looking forward to seeing all of you there tomorrow!!
Best Regards,
Candice Lin
