The FATE (Fairness, Accountability, Transparency, and Ethics in AI) group at Microsoft Research Montreal is looking for multiple interns for 12-week internships in 2022. We are interested in candidates working in the broad FATE areas, particularly on responsible language technologies, transparency and explainability in AI, phenomena related to the impacts of complex sociotechnical systems, or ML topics with an impact on fairness, such as model reusability, compositionally, or efficient optimization.

Applicants should be currently enrolled in a relevant Ph.D. program or JD (Juris Doctorate) program (areas of interest include machine learning, human-computer interaction, computational social science, information retrieval, natural language processing, science and technology studies, or other related fields).
