Hi Folks -

For those of you who are willing to write a paper with me for this CHI, I suggest the following policies. These policies are designed to lessen our pressure before the deadline.

1. The "full draft" of the paper has to be ready by August 15, 2010. A "full draft" means that the whole paper is basically ready: the data, findings, and analysis are done. The first versions of the other parts of the paper (Intro, literature review, discussion, methods) are also there in place. The whole paper is formatted according to the template suggested on the website. Please note that submitting a full draft does not guarantee that we will finally submit that paper to CHI. However, I believe that any paper that we target for CHI eventually gets accepted to good venues.

2. All the papers will be written on Overleaf this time. If you are not yet familiar with LaTeX by now, please make yourself familiar ASAP. I have a paid version of Overleaf You need to start a conversation with me on starting an Overleaf project for CHI no later than 30 June.

3. If you want to write a paper, but you are not sure if it will be possible to make it before CHi deadline, please discuss this with me in our next 1:1 meeting.

4. All your data, transcriptions, IRB, and other documents need to be put in a Google Drive that is shared with all the members of your project team.

5. PLEASE try to keep all your other commitments away for the last 2 WEEKS before the CHI deadline. Let your course instructors, TA instructors, family, and friends know that you will not be available during that time.

6. Finally, the kind of CHI papers that I write requires a lot of reading, writing, analysis, etc. So, please work hard during this summer so that we together can write beautiful papers for this coming CHI.
