We often hold an event in the months leading up to CHI for students to present their talks to TorCHI. TorCHI is a professional association of user experience practitioners, and the local chapter of ACM SIGCHI; a large number of its members are dgp alumni. This year, the event will take place at the lab, on one of these evenings at 7pm:
Monday, March 26 Wednesday, March 28 Thursday, March 29
All are welcome to attend. If you have a presentation at CHI this year, please reply to Seongkook, cc’d, who has generously offered to serve as host. Indicate that you have a paper, and whether any of the options above is impossible for you to attend. Zhicong and Haijun are on internships this term, but I hope very much that all others with papers will take the opportunity to share your work with the local community. It’s of course also a great chance to try out your material in advance of the conference.
