Hello Tux!
We hope all are having a wonderful summer. Many of you are busily preparing submissions for CHI 2017; best of luck to you all! We are pleased to say that a very large number of Tux members are playing important roles in the CHI 2017 papers process<https://chi2017.acm.org/select-subcommittee.html>. A testament to our strong research community.
We have been busy preparing for the next season of Tux, with the invaluable help of a new editorial board member; see below. We are happy to say that our sponsors are all onboard again this year, and we will be able to continue to offer an exciting set of Sanders Series Invited Lecturers; see below for two of our Invited Lecturers. We also are happy to say that we will be continuing to offer great opportunities for members of our community to participate: this email contains two such opportunities. It also includes the 2016/17 schedule. If you would like to give a talk, the time is now to reply; please see below.
Schedule: Tuesdays @ 12:30-2:00pm
As with last year, we will be meeting on alternating Tuesdays, *usually*. Note that, to enable us to use the MaRS space, we have juggled the schedule a bit, so that there will be only one week between two of the meetings in November. The complete schedule of meetings is below. As invited lecturers are confirmed, we will email the list.

Student Poster Session: February 7, 2016
For the first time, we will be inviting students and post docs to share their research with the community. On February 7, students and post docs will be offered the opportunity to present a poster in advance of the Sanders Series Invited Lecture. Details coming soon!
Give a Talk: Please Reply ASAP, and no later than Friday
Last year, we had more volunteers than we had slots to speak. We are hoping to continue this excitement! We hope that you will volunteer to speak about your research. To volunteer, please reply to this email, and give a list of 3 preferred dates from among the "Internal" slots listed above. We will sort the schedule and share it out in the following week.
New Editorial Board Member
We are very pleased to announce that we have a new member of our editorial board: Prof. Khai Truong<http://www.cs.toronto.edu/~khai/> of the Department of Computer Science at U of T has already been working hard to help build an exciting program of Sanders Series Invited Lectures.
We look forward to seeing you at Tux in the coming year!
