Reminder - training today for 5180

Hi Everyone,

Given the number of new pieces of equipment that have arrived and the number of users we now have on the door list we're going to do a mandatory re-training session for 5180 over the next two weeks. Before the Christmas break we will re-program the door access and remove those students who do not attend one of the training sessions held between now and Wednesday Jan 16th, 2019

Training times:

Wednesday Dec 19th 2pm

Wednesday Jan 9th 12 pm

After Wednesday the 16th we will _remove_ the door access for those students who have not attended one of the sessions listed above.

I will cover information about the new 3d printer how to print to it remotely and how to dispose of cleaning station fluid correctly, as well as some laser cutter tips and general equipment care. I'll also be talking about the new CNC mill and how to operate it.

Following the 5180 training will be an optional introduction to conferencing and recording systems we now have it place in the lab, mostly based in the seminar room (this is _not_ required for access to 5180, only the first part of the training). I’ll talk about how to invite remote participants by phone or video, record lectures and run multiple simultaneous input sources to different screens in the room.
