This document is a proposal for assignment 1 for CSC 2530. The purpose of this document is to outline what algorithms and functionalities will be implemented

Technique

The project will be based on techniques described in Creating Full View Panoramic Image Mosaics and Environment Maps by Szeliski and Shum.

Implementation Plan

Functionalities to be implemented

· 2 Parameters Projective Alignment

· Cylindrical Mosaic

· GUI Functionalities

- OpenGL Viewer with interactive panning

- Mosaic source selection

Features that would be nice to have

• Enhance with 3 parameter or 8 parameter alignment
• User specified initial position for images in the mosaic
• Global alignment
