Crab Claw Render
By Nicole Jiao→For this project, I created a fully-rendered 3D crab claw scene using ray tracing. The scene includes a custom STL mesh of a crab claw. A camera setup positioned to frame the claw with a three-point lighting system for dramatic illumination.
- Imported External STL Mesh
- Downloaded an external STL mesh claw.stl from SmithSonian
- Added an STL mesh claw.stl file and applied it in claw.json under the “objects” section.
- Camera Positioning
- Positioned the camera in world space using the claw’s bounding box.
- Applied in claw.json under “camera” .
- Three-Point Lighting System
- To achieve studio-style lighting, I added key light, fill light and rim light.
- Applied in claw.json under “lights”
