Twirling Ellipsoid

This applet allows you to change many parameters used in rendering the ellipsoid.

• The long scroll bars along the top and bottom control the granularity of the interior polygon mesh (red) and the outline polygon fan (green), respectively.
• The three scroll bars labeled X, Y, and Z, allow you to alter the lengths of the ellipsoid's basis vectors, thereby modifying its shape.
• The Scale scroll bar controls the scale at which the ellipsoid is rendered.
• The three check boxes allow you to turn on or off any combination of:
  • The interior polygons (red)
  • The twirling motion of the ellipsoid
  • The outline polygons (green)
