Hi everybody,

Google is sponsoring a free screening about AlphaGo on Wednesday, in case you or any of your students are interested in seeing it :)  It's been introduced by a member of the DeepMind team, so come out if you can!

Steve

AlphaGo documentary screening – FREE!

Wednesday, November 1

6 p.m. – 7:45 p.m.

SF 1105

Alpha Go chronicles a journey from the backstreets of Bordeaux, past the coding terminals of Google DeepMind, to Seoul, where a legendary Go master faces an unproven AI challenger. As the drama unfolds, questions emerge: What can artificial intelligence reveal about a 3000-year-old game? What will it teach us about humanity?

Directed by Greg Kohs with an original score by Academy Award nominee, Hauschka.

U of T alumni were involved in the AlphaGo research with DeepMind! https://www.utoronto.ca/news/google-deepminds-alphago-meet-u-t-computer-scientists-who-helped-it-win

Kindly RSVP acceptances to communications@cs.toronto.edu.
