Hello all,
We will be resuming the bi-weekly reading group this
Friday, May 18th, at 2PM. We will be reading "HARK No More: On the Preregistration of CHI Experiments" by Andy Cockburn, Carl Gutwin and Alan Dix, which was presented last month at CHI.
PAPER: https://dl.acm.org/citation.cfm?id=3173715

A change in format this term is that each paper will have a "champion" who agrees to read the paper thoroughly and lead the discussion, highlighting why they think the work is important. Usually this will
be the person who proposed the paper. Nicole and Fanny will jointly champion the paper this week.
The meeting will take place at Crimson Teas (415 Spadina Ave), which is a 5 min walk from Bahen. A group will depart from the front desk at precisely
1:50 PM so that people can walk over together.
Daniel has generously offered to fund drinks and snacks for the meeting. Crimson Teas has delicious tea and the owner is very nice, so consider your perishing physical thirst in addition to your thirst for knowledge.
Please come if you are free - it's a great opportunity to learn about exciting new work in the field, applicable to anyone who runs quantitative studies. Also a great chance to talk with each other in a less formal environment. Summer students are especially encouraged to attend!
