A colleague of mine at UTM seeks a TA to lead a tutorial introducing Tableau. Commitment is low (10h total, for a one-time 3h tutorial). It is rather urgent, so if you’re interested, please reach out to me at your earliest convenience. Details below:
Required: TA to lead a 3 hour lab tutorial introducing Tableau
Background: CCT218 (Information and Society) has students exploring the Ontario government's Open Data portal. For one of their assignments, students are tasked with downloading a data set and applying data visualization best practices. In preparation for the assignment, one class (Tuesday 11am to 2pm, specific date to be finalized) will be devoted to learning the basics of Tableau. A version of this software is available on the PC lab computers - what's missing is someone who knows this software well enough to lead a tutorial.
Duties: You will prepare a workshop introducing Tableau and work with the students (n=40) to ensure they have a basic knowledge of the software tool.
Contract terms: Class time: 3 hrs, prep time: 7 hrs
