Hi all,

This week's HCI meeting, we will have two presenters to brainstore their projects and gain feedback from us. They are Varun Perumal and Parastoo Abtahi. Varun will lead the first hour of the meeting discussing on his project and Parastoo will take the rest half an hour to discuss her project. The brief descriptions of their projects are attached bellow. The time will be from 12:30pm to 2pm. The location is in the DGP lab meeting room. Lunch will be provided. Looking forward to seeing you all.

Abstract of Varun's presentation: "When the cost of a technology drops significantly it not only becomes accessible to a wider audience, but their primary purpose and use can transform significantly. The session will involve brainstorming new avenues and applications for computing input output devices in the above scenario where they become cheap enough to be disposable"

Abstract of Parastoo 's presentation: Design of a desktop tool that allows visualization and exploration of a network of documentations referenced by an academic paper, enabling exhaustive mastery of that particular topic. The objective of the tool is to improve the active reading experience of academic articles, and unveil new information about the relationship between papers in a particular field of research.
