Hello guys,
Our bi-weekly HCI group meeting starts tommorrow at 12:30pm. Our presenter this week is Haijun. As usual, food will be provided. Looking forward to seeing you there!
Here is the abstract from Haijun:
In the meeting this week, I would like to gain insights from you about interaction with hierarchical data and hierarchy itself. Hierarchy exists in many kinds of data, such as vector graphics, 3d models, and the language you speak. And it is important, in some applications, to maintain the hierarchy, e.g. layer panel of Illustrator. Unfortunately, the mechanism to interact with hierarchy is either missing or lacking advanced functionalities. In this meeting, I will first present you a couple of applications to show how hierarchy can assist the interaction with the domain data. We will then brainstorm other aspects of the interaction with hierarchy and hierarchical data.
Best Regards,
Candice Lin
