HCI-external includes people who are not part of CS nor DGP, but who would like to be included on announcements and goings-on of things HCI within the lab.

In the coming term, our regular HCI meetings will take place from 12:30-2pm on Tuesdays. There is no poll this time around because we are synchronizing with the new “Tux” HCI group. This group spans Schools: Waterloo, Ryerson, U of T, Queens, and labs: Autodesk & Tactual Labs (so far!). It meets every second week, usually at MaRS, though sometimes here at DGP. We will have our internal HCI meeting in the same slot on the other Tuesdays.

All of the HCI faculty at DGP have signed-on to participate. Tux’s website will be up next week, and will show the schedule of talks, including some exciting speakers from top HCI research labs across North America. In the meantime, we will kick-off our internal meeting next week on Sept. 29 @ 12:30pm.

Your only task for now is to please block-off 12:30-2 in your schedules (plus a bit of padding for travel to/from MaRS) through April.
