FYI, to HCI students, in case you don't get the dcs-all mails.

You should make every attempt to attend the DLS talks.

DLS talks are an important aspect to the educational experience you get here. We invite amazing speakers on a yearly basis who talk about extremely interesting work. Make sure you try to come on time for this (not ten after).

There will be a session in the afternoon (4:30-5PM) for students to meet with Kentaro and talk with him as well. Please attend that. Also please sign up for a chance to demo to Kentaro via Haijun (demos will happen 5-6pm). Use these opportunities to not only learn more about interesting research, but get feedback from luminaries on your research and/or thoughts you might have about research.
