The Faculty of Information at the University of Toronto invites applications for a full-time, tenure stream faculty position in User Experience Design (UXD) or Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor. The appointment is expected to begin July 1, 2023. The closing date for applications is December 19, 2022 and all application materials, including reference letters, must be received by then.

We seek applicants whose research interests are in areas such as user interface design and evaluation methods, information visualization, sustainability, accessibility, theoretical foundations of HCI, design of systems and practices to access, share, and manage knowledge, information retrieval and universal design. Industrial experience in a related area will be a strong asset. We are especially interested in exceptional candidates who transcend traditional research topics and who complement our Faculty’s existing strengths.
