• Algorithms:

  • First, warping algorithm to map each input image to 2D cylindrical coordinate image.
  • Second, recovering algorithm to get translational alignment between images pairs on the cylindrical surface (rotation motion of the camera by solving eqn. (5) in the paper.
  • Third, stitching algorithm to convert the warped images into one panoramic mosaic.

• Functionality:

  • 1 Definitely Included:

    Input a sequence of images acquired by a camera rotating 360 degrees about a single axis. Warp and align these images automatically into a cylindrical panoramic mosaic.

  • 2 Hope to Include:

    Global alignment: closing the gap in the panorama.

  • 3 Will include if we have time:

    Moving objects.

• UserInterface:

  Fluid-based user interface has x and y pan methods which allow the user to view the panorama.
