Priority of Different Behaviors

The priorities of the range of behaviors we have emulated are implemented by the hierarchical structure of the intention generator. Life-preserving behaviors (collision avoidance, escape from predators) are guaranteed to take precedence over other behaviors. Behaviors at the same priority level in the hierarchy, such as eating and mating, are further prioritized by the dynamics of the corresponding desires.
