SAFE

What is SAFE?
SAFE started in May of 1996 out of a project for a leadership and self-expression class offered by Landmark Education Corporation. Jade Rubick, the founder of SAFE, formed SAFE because "there seems to be such a lack of information and services for such a glaring need." SAFE has had served tens of thousands of people since its inception, had extensive press coverage, and is growing.

Stop Abuse For Everyone is a non-profit organization that provides advocacy, information, and support for men and women who are the victims of domestic violence. We set up and advocate for services for men and women, straight, gay, or lesbian, with the vision of a world of powerful, supportive relationships, free of violence. SAFE concentrates on domestic violence against straight men, gay men, and lesbian women, because few services exist for these groups.

The organizational goal of SAFE is to grow rapidly and provide services and information to as many people as possible. Our mission is to make a difference in the world!

SAFE is being set up with the main branch in Sacramento, California. The Director of SAFE, David Fontes can be reached at spindrift9@aol.com.

There are currently two other chapters of SAFE:

These organizations are also SAFE Affiliates:
