SAFE

Are You Being Abused?

  • It happens to women.
  • It happens to men.
  • It happens whether you're gay or straight.
  • It happens to physically strong people.
  • It happens to successful people.
  • It happens to intelligent people.
  • It happens to people of all family backgrounds.
  • It happens regardless of your cultural background.
  • It is happening to many of the people you know.
  • And though you probably feel alone, there are many people there to help.

Stop Abuse For Everyone (SAFE) is a international organization that provides services and information to stop abuse for everyone. Founded in May 1996, SAFE is an excellent place to look for resources, support, information, and understanding.

At our web page (http://www.dgp.utoronto.ca/~jade/safe/) you can:

  • Look for services in your local area,
  • Look up research on the topic to understand it better,
  • Join an active online support group and talk safely with others in similar circumstances. They can provide practical advice, support, and understanding.
  • Look at how you can help other people and make a difference in your community,
  • Read original essays on domestic violence,
  • Find books and website on the topic to understand your situation better,
  • and much more!

Stop Abuse For Everyone is a non-profit organization that provides advocacy, information, and support for men and women who are the victims of domestic violence. We set up and advocate for services for men and women, straight, gay, or lesbian, with the vision of a world of powerful, supportive relationships, free of violence. S.A.F.E. concentrates on domestic violence against straight men, gay men, and lesbian women, because few services exist for these groups, but we provide services to anyone without discrimination.
