Water Stream

This animation demonstrates the breadthwise opacity variation achievable with paintstrokes. The tap consists of three paintstrokes, and the pipe of one. The water stream is a single quality-two paintstroke (per frame), using up to fourty control points. At the size shown (256x192), each frame took under a second to rasterize, and the A-Buffer took about three seconds to blend the fragments, all on a 200 MHz 604e Power Macintosh.
