DISCUSSION QUESTIONS FOR OCT 17 =============================== The goal of these questions are to get you thinking critically about the papers before class. Please write about a page (at most) in response to the following questions; it doesn't have to be a full-length essay. The write-up is due at the beginning of class. 1. State one argument for using optimization to study motion, and one argument against. 2. Do you think motions are optimal? Do you think optimization is a good tool for motion? 3. Identify an open research question that the readings suggest to you. In other words, where do we go from here? 4. If space permits, did you find the readings interesting or stimulating? Why?
