1999 Western Division All-Star Game

On February 15th, the First NWHL Western Division All-Star Game was played at the Beatrice Ice Gardens. In a fast paced game, the Provincial Champions Beatrice Aeros tied the All-Stars 0-0. The Aeros bolstered their line-up with Vicky Sunohara and Jayna Hefford (both of the Brampton Thunder), two players will pick up to play in the Nationals.

The Western Division All-Stars were selected from the three other eastern Division teams. In addition to the players named to the First and Second All-Star Teams (see Western Division All-Star Team), 10 players were chosen from the Brampton Thunder, Mississauga Chiefs, and Scarborough Sting:

              Carol Cooper, Mississauga Chiefs (2nd All-Star Team)

              Sue Merz, Brampton Thunder (1st All-Star Team)
              Nathalie Rivard, Mississauga Chiefs (1st All-Star Team)
              Cassandra Turner, Scarborough Sting

    Forward : Stephanie Boyd, Brampton Thunder
              Liz Duval, Mississauga Chiefs
              Annie Fahlenbock, Mississauga Chiefs (2nd All-Star Team)
              Marianne Grnak, Brampton Thunder
              Andria Hunter, Mississauga Chiefs (1st All-Star Team)
              Helen Knowles, Mississauga Chiefs
              Amanda Smith, Mississauga Chiefs
              Jeanine Sobek, Brampton Thunder

Forwards Karen Nystrom (Brampton Thunder) and Karen Spence (Scarborough Sting) were also selected for the All-Star Game. They were unfortunately unable to play in the game because of injuries.
