Toronto - The Central Ontario Women's Hockey League has changed it's name to the:

National Women's Hockey League (NWHL)

The new name reflects the geographical change in our league and increases marketing opportunities for potential league sponsors.

The NWHL provides 70% of the total players selected to the 1999 Team Canada from the Provinces of Ontario and Quebec.

The NWHL represents the highest level of Female Hockey in Canada.
