OWHA Senior AAA Provincials

Congratulations to the North York Aeros on winning a thrilling 2-1 overtime victory over the Newtonbrook Panthers in the final game of the 1997 Senior AAA Provincials. Good luck to the Aeros who will now represent Ontario at the 1997 Canadoan National Championship in Richmond BC, from March 6th to 9th. Bring back the gold!

This page contains information concerning the the Ontario Women's Hockey Association Senior AAA Provincials. The Provincials will be hosted by Cobourg from February 7th to February 9th.

It was decided by the COWHL that the top 6 teams would move on to play in the provincials. Only the first two home games and the first two away games between each pair of teams count towards establishing the seeding for the Provincials. Thus a total of 24 games will have been played by each team, with the last one of these games having been played in Peterborough on the 1st of February. (There is actually one more game to be played, but it had to be recheduled due to a snow storm, and will be played on February 20th. The outcome of this game will not affect the seedings.) The complete list of games counting towards the Provincials can be found here.
