Example Animations

The examples shown below include animations of a knight chess piece, the Newell teapot, and a mushroom. In each case we started with existing surface based geometric models to which we added physical properties. Although none of these models have any obvious modes of locomotion we used our animation system to generate walking animations for each of these objects. These walking examples illustrate the use of our animation system to create complex motion through the direct control of only a few points of the model. The rest of the model follows along according to its physical properties. There is also a simple animation of a falling mushroom which illustrates how the effect of the viscous forces of the surrounding medium.
