control for fluid animation

when i was at osu, i did some work on trying to apply direct control to fluid animation.  (ok, technically a lot of it was done all over the u.s. and canada, but that's beside the point).  some of the materials from it are below.  there's better ways to do this, but time constraints (and having it coincide with a ridiculous amount of travel) restricted how much could actually get done.  but i got an award out of it!  most of this work was done from march to may, 2002.
